The challenge

Transform a leading health benefits company’s member experience by making the healthy choice the easy choice

They sought to reduce the daily burden of managing personal and household health, foster healthy behavior, and encourage healthy choices. If they could create an innovative mobile experience, where benefits are integrated into their members’ daily lives, they could create value for their members and for the organization. In addition, they wanted a partner to help them reimagine their marketing and sales website to support their goal of increasing revenue by more effectively advertising their benefits program.

What we did

  • Developed a cross-platform mobile application that provides member card activation and registration and account balance display 
  • Built a store that allows members to shop for thousands of personal care products, OTC medications, and healthy food options and have those products delivered directly to their homes Includes product search, in-app purchases, in-store shopping guide, store locator, and a retail scanner
  • Created an accessible experience that serves supplemental benefits members that identify as 65+ and members of a special needs population (SNP) that leverages iOS VoiceOver and Android TalkBack (native app screen reader technologies)
  • Deployed the solution on an easy-to-use headless CMS to ensure efficiency and reduce ongoing development needs
  • Provided a white-labeled and branded experience to provide confidence to members that they’re in the right place and offers additional branding opportunities to partners
