On August 2nd, Amber James, a Clockwork Digital Strategist, received a digital accessibility certification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).

Amber is an advocate of accessible digital products, content, and experiences across the Web. On why this digital accessibility, and this certification, is important, she commented, “Accessible is the way the Web should be, and Clockwork is committed to making it so. It’s great to have the CPACC certification and join the IAAP community. There’s so much accessibility innovation ahead for Clockwork and our clients.”

Amber has spoken at a Minneapolis Digital Summit event and Confab about content and digital accessibility, she was on the panel at our annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day event in 2018, and is now officially a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) by the IAAP.

According to the IAAP website, this certification covers, “…broad, cross-disciplinary conceptual knowledge about 1) disabilities, 2) accessibility and universal design, and 3) accessibility-related standards, laws, and management strategies.” Amber will continue to bring invaluable perspective and accessibility knowledge to our clients and to our organization.

Join Amber in September for a digital accessibility workshop hosted by Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA).
